Chevy Cummins Photo2 :
5.9L in Chevy Pictures are purposely of poor quality.
Raise the cab 2", fabricate mounts, shorten rear drive shaft 2", lengthen front 4x4 shaft ", extend 4x4 shifter lever 2", drill new holes and relocate frame cross rails rearward 2", fiddle with mounts, re-wire the electrical. Quite simple if you are a mechanic. Other than the two days repositioning and aligning mounts, drilling holes, it was an easy task Please Lord, forgive me for that small lie....

Later, when I have time, I will tell you how I fabricated the throttle cable mounts, how I hooked up the engine stop selenoid, how I fabricated the clutch hydraulic cylinder bracket (no hole), and other things as I fix pics and have time to write. |

Since I installed this engine in 2004, I have now put 170K on the set-up. Problem free for the most part. The engine has nearly 300K miles on it. Few years ago, I had to replace the crankcase breather once. A waterpump, multiple serpentine belts but other than that only filters and oil. So now in May 2013, it has 288K on truck and I'd tow cross country without think about it. Very dependable. The engine makes the truck.
